So I thought I would give them a good road test. After all a wipe is much more than just a wipe.

The Wipe. A parent’s best friend.

We have 2 kids under 2 so we go through wipes in the hundreds. Actually if I am going to be really honest it is in the thousands.

We have tried cheap ones (which annoyingly seem to come out in multiples not a single sheet) and expensive ones that have a lovely aroma but you question whether it is worth the cost.

So there is a new wipe that just launched on the market called Baby Bumkins.

I know what you are thinking. So what. It’s just a wipe.

Baby Bumkins

It is designed to be gentle and kind to both you and your baby – free from nasties such as alcohol, soap and Methylisothiazolinone (MIT). I gave it a whirl and it was lovely to use and I think I even got a little smile!

However, it got me thinking, is the quality of a wipe JUST about how you use this on your baby? Am I really doing a review for you justice?

As any parent knows you WILL use them for many more things than just wiping a baby’s bottom or wiping sticky fingers! A wipe needs to be versatile and flexible in more ways than one.

So I thought I would give them a good road test. After all a wipe is much more than just a wipe.

1. Cleaning your keyboard

This is my dear friend....but she needs a good clean.

This is my dear friend….but she needs a good clean. A few streaks but this wipe is just as good as any proper keyboard cleaner

2. Removing makeup

The secret the fashion industry doesn't want you to know about

Why spend $$$ when you can use a wipe! And the fragrance wipes smell good too!

3. Cleaning fingerprints from photo frames

The little people in our house LOVE to touch photo frames and leave dirty mits on them

4. Remove stains from carpet, clothing and upholstery

Coffee and spew stains

Coffee and spew stains seems to be the flavour of the month these days! Yes, the lightly fragranced wipes were best for this road test!

5. Tissue substitute

Giving it a good blow!

Sometimes you need something close and NOW! ( I did think of doing toilet paper but thought better of it!)

6. Clean the 6. outside of the fridge

7. Wipe down the kids toys

Scarily, people often don’t take the time to wipe down toys. It’s a hassle but think of the bacteria! A quick wipe and they are sorted!!

8. Shine shoes

Thought I would give Baby Raj a lesson is shining daddy's shoes - since it is a once only job!

9. Wiping down restaurant tables, play tables, highchairs and shopping trolleys

10. Cleaning off marker

Damn...when you are not looking, little Miss Raj gets up to all sorts of mischief. However check out how good these wipes are at getting it off!

On a more serious note, Baby Bumkins were gentle and soft and pretty durable really! However at the same time being incredibly soft and gentle.

They use only the gentlest of dermatologically tested ingredients, and you won’t find the harmful Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) in any of their products which is great for our kids who often get eczema. They come out in single sheets (hooray!!) and certainly has passed the Mamma Raj roadtest. Best of all they are at an affordable price!

The best way to look after those little precious people in your life – and everything else!
